I know Argentina is known for it’s amazing steaks and other really delicious food, which I ate a lot of while I was there. But, sometimes when visiting a new city and just wandering around taking photos, I don’t really feel like taking the time or dealing with the language differences to stop and eat at a local restaurant, so I’ll just hit a McDonald’s or other fast food joint for something quick to eat.

So, I was pretty shocked when I went into a Burger King to get a quick lunch and found marble floors and columns, a central domed ceiling with leaded-glass skylights, and frescos on the ceiling, all things most people would not associate with a typical Burger King.

I’ve found an old friend in Tokyo.

I was walking down the street near my serviced apartment in Tokyo and saw a sign for Devil Ramen in the window of a ramen restaurant. I figured I should try it and see what it was like.

The ramen had a ton of garlic and was extra greasy. It was actually pretty good and I’m pretty sure that I didn’t have to give up my soul (but everything was in Japanese, so maybe the fine print was saying that I was trading my soul for some yummy raman).

In one of the malls on Odaiba there was an area of little ramen and noodle restaurant. Each restaurant was serving noodles from a different part of Japan.
