Built between the years 1895-1903, Westminster Cathedral in London is the mother church of the Catholic community in England and Wales and the Metropolitan Church and Cathedral of the Archbishop of Westminster.

One of the nicest churches I visited in France was the Sacré-Coeur Basilica in Paris. It’s located at the top of a hill which is the highest point in Paris, so it was a bit of a work out to walk there from the subway station. Very beautiful and in great condition, unfortunately it was also very crowded and no photography was allowed inside.

Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres is a Latin Rite Catholic cathedral constructed in the French High Gothic style between the years 1193 and 1250 in the town of Chartres, France.

There's currently a lot of restoration work being done on the Cathedral. Here you can see some of the before and after.

The Cathedral can be seen rising from behind some of the buildings of Chartres.

I was driving around after leaving La Rochelle when I spotted these ruins of a 12th century monastery.

Abbaye des Châteliers

The ship spent the night heading for Standley, the main town and capitol of the Falkland Islands. Once the ship arrived at Standley we were able to spend the morning wandering around town taking photos before heading back to the ship for lunch and to start our journey for our next location, South Georgia Island.
